Once upon a time, there was a kitty girl named Shamisha. She was kicked out of her home because the dog was more important. She wintered outside.
When For The Love Of A Cat was called, we took in Shamisha and evaluated that she was adoptable. We took her to our adoption partner, Pet Smart, in Corvallis. She waited a long time to find a home, but she found a home that defies our wildest imagination. Her adopter, Zach, was smitten with her, immediately. What a match made in heaven! These pictures tell the story. She and Zach traveled the state, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, strolling in a carriage. Then Shamisha became very sick. The vets could not help. Zach syringed water into her quivering little mouth for two months. He changed her diet to all fresh lamb - months of agony for owner and Shamisha. Now she is drinking and eating on her own - and jumping from rock to rock, on the river. Zach and Shamisha, you are the 'Couple of the Year'. Full steam ahead, Shamisha. We love you and your Dad so much. |
